Scorecard
One of Denver Colorado’s best golf courses may appear to be a shorter than some courses along the Rocky Mountain Front Range but don’t let the scorecard fool you. If you measure the golf course in the same manner as others have and you will find that we are just at 7,000 yards. Why the difference? Fossil Trace uses actual yardages, one step forward from the middle of the tee box while others use 1 step up from the back of the tee box (not even an official teeing area). This is why the golf course at Fossil Trace Golf Club plays longer than the scorecard states as we are not trying to “hype” our length. Click on scorecard to view/print a PDF at full size
Course Layout
The golf course layout (below) is an overhead digital photograph of the Fossil Trace Golf Club property. As seen, the golf course has very few holes which run beside each other making it more challenging from the tee as a stray ball finds native rough instead of an adjacent fairway. Although not perceived as a “long course”, the golf course offers a great challenge to all levels of players.
